Participation Rules

Play nice

It's really simple. We expect all participants to employ common sense and create a safe community atmosphere. We won't tolerate harassment of teammates, admins, or the wider community.

All participants are required to vote

As a participant, your vote has more influence, as you will take part in the Team Jury system. The voting system is designed in such a way that it would be unfair for participants not to vote.

Your entry must be a new creation

To be fair to other contestants, your entry mashup must be a completely new creation. Using WIPs of any kind (choreos, background, etc.) is prohibited. Your mashup should also only be worked on by the members of your team.

Use of Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) is prohibited

You must not use AI applications that do the following:

• Generate images or art
• Generate video
• Generate sound or music
• Add animations to existing images or art

This does not apply to machine learning and assistive tools, such as:

• Rotoscoping (also known as Magic Mask)
• Background removal
• Image upscaling
• Speech enhancement
• Beat Detection

You must confirm your song choice with the moderators

Once your team has selected a song for your mashup, please confirm it with the moderators. You can always change your song choice later down the line, but please let us know when you do so.

You must choose a song from your country

The main artist of the song should be from the country you are representing. This does not apply to featuring artists.

Political messaging is prohibited

No team whatsoever is allowed to use this platform to spread political messaging which may upset and cause disruption. Your platform here is only for contest-related purposes. If you feel the need to spread awareness about a certain topic, Just Dance Vision is not the place to do it, and we will be swiftly disqualifying any teams we think violate this framework of peace.

You agree to submit a complete mashup according to the contest rules

Please do not apply for Just Dance Vision if you are not confident you can finish your entry. You have several months to make something. Failure to submit obviously results in disqualification but means you are banned from applying in the future.

If you intentionally upload a mashup that is not acceptable under the above rules or does not match your previously confirmed song, you will be disqualified.
